Once a bustling New York factory, this loft in a historic cast-iron building has been transformed into a modern sanctuary that combines minimalism with warmth. The design preserves the building's industrial heritage while creating an inviting, sophisticated retreat in the heart of Manhattan.

The loft’s centerpiece is a mezzanine balcony enclosed in a sleek wall of sliding glass panels, allowing natural light to cascade through the space. Anchored by a striking blackened steel staircase that doubles as a sculptural feature, the loft’s design nods to the neighborhood’s manufacturing roots while embracing the owner's Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic.

This transformed Astor Place loft melds industrial heritage with Scandinavian-inspired minimalism, creating a warm, sophisticated sanctuary in Manhattan.
