Nestled in the woods with serene lakefront views, this expanded Garrison cottage embodies both warmth and simple elegance. The architecture respects the home's history of subtle additions, each new space enhancing its functionality and aesthetic flow. A vibrant entry door opens to a welcoming mudroom and a hallway where views of the lake unfold, setting the tone for a tranquil retreat.

A newly added three-season sunroom, with skylights and a thoughtful layout, captures the natural beauty of the surrounding woodland. Bifolding glass doors provide privacy without compromising light, while built-in shelving offers space for cherished books and heirlooms. Modernized bathrooms echo the owner’s mid-century design vision, and a clerestory-lit living room now fills with afternoon sun. A wrap-around mahogany deck at the rear completes the experience, offering stunning views of the lake’s dam and a seamless blend of comfort and elegance.

Dark cladding contrasts against the ephemeral colors of the forest and unifies the many generational additions the cottage has acquired over the years.
