Originally crafted by renowned Italian architect Alfredo de Vido in the 1980s, this Pound Ridge home showcases a unique post-modern design, blending bold geometries and sweeping views of the lake beyond. In its recent renovation, the architecture firm preserved these iconic forms while reimagining the main living area, kitchen, and entry for a contemporary lifestyle.

Walls and columns were removed to reveal unobstructed views and enhance connection to the outdoors, transforming the former galley kitchen into a spacious area for entertaining. A new skylight and thoughtfully arranged windows flood the expanded space with natural light, while a refined material palette of white oak flooring, custom millwork, and blackened steel accents brings a modern touch, paying homage to de Vido’s original vision.

This renovated Pound Ridge home elegantly merges Alfredo de Vido's post-modern boldness with modern light, open space, and natural connection.
